The Captains Anchorage Restaurant has been a Big Bear Lake tradition since 1947.  Step back in time to the "Big Bear of Yesteryear" while enjoying great food and a relaxing ambiance. Originally known as the Sportsman’s Tavern, the restaurant has witnessed years of history, entertained Hollywood celebrities, and is the home of a cool and friendly “Ghost” by the name of George. Be aware that George may be your unexpected dinner guest, as he evidentially feels that Captains Anchorage Restaurant is his home, too.
